Video of the Week: Arlington based Dr. FU will be appearing at this week-end's Battle of the Boulevard. They have won "best local band" in the 2006 WUSA 9 "A List" competition and the 2004 South Riding Battle of the Bands. FU has been featured in the Washington Post (Editors' Pick), The Post Express (#1 Top Stop), On Tap Online, the DC Citypaper, Voice of the Hill, and the Loudoun Times-Mirror. Dr. FU's drummer has published in Modern Drummer Magazine.
Who let the dog's out? Imagine over 300 of man's best friend all in one place. Well, the Animal Welfare League of Arlington will kick off Arlington's Neighborhood Day with the 13th Annual Walk for the Animals. This event is held to help homeless animals in the community. They hope to double last year's incredible fundraising goal of $82,000.
