March 3rd – March 31st, G-40: The Summit, the art exhibit of the year comes to Crystal City! The event will transform the Crystal City office building into a dynamic, contemporary art exhibition space. The G-40 is an artistic interpretation of the G-20 political summit. It will showcase four state-themed flours with ten featured artists and 40 additional artists per floor. This exhibit will also include live mural paintings, resident DJ’s and other exciting experiential elements!

I’m sure many of you were disappointed when the annual Clarendon/Court House Mardi Gras Parade was canceled due to Snowpocalypse 2010. In its place, however, The Clarendon Alliance is holding the first ever St. Patrick’s Day Parade at 8pm on March 16th! The parade route will begin at Wilson Blvd. and Barton St. and will make its way down Wilson, ending at the Clarendon Metro. Expect to see the same great floats, costumes and marching bands! Rumor has it that if the parade is a success, it may become an annual event!
