Choupi Crepe and Waffle Cart

Choupi Crepe and Waffle Cart brings a little European flair to Arlington. And really, what is better than a savory, fresh-made crepe or waffle right off the griddle? Choupi’s co-founder and crepe maker extraordinaire, Sabri Uzun, is a former pastry chef at Willard InterContinental. Each crepe is handmade and filled with fresh ingredients ranging from delicious sweets like, nutella or honey, to more savory delights like spinach, feta or ham. While the Choupi Cart itself is fairly understated, their products certainly are not.

Ballston Partnership – Mix&Mingle, Taste of Arlington

The Ballston Partnership, founded in 1985, has been actively working for 25 years to enhance, develop, and promote the Ballston and Virginia Square corridors to make them the ideal neighborhoods. On March 10th, the Ballston Partnership is hosting “Mix and Mingle” at Pinzimini from 5:30-7pm. Skeptics Applications Are In - Time to Vote!

What better way to go green in the New Year than by giving up your car? Arlington’s Car-Free Diet Skeptics Challenge is looking for people who drive their cars all the time now, but who are willing to give car-free living a shot. The applications are in and all of the potential Skeptics' videos are posted. Now is your chance to vote for your favorite (you can vote once each day, now through March 31). Your votes will be combined with the judges’ scores to decide which applicants become Skeptics. The chosen Skeptics will chronicle their car-free experiences on www.CarFreeDietSkepitcs.com for 30 days – follow along starting April 22!

The Reading Connection’s 6th Annual of Wine & Words

In the world of children’s books, there are few more acclaimed than author and illustrator Rosemary Wells, creator of the brilliant tale of sibling bunnies, Max and Ruby. On March 11, from 6:30 p.m. - 9:30 p.m., join Ms. Wells, emcee Brian van de Graaff of ABC 7, and Arlington non-profit, The Reading Connection to celebrate the world of children’s books. Enjoy a special tasting of all-Virginia wines from Chateau O'Brien at Northport, delicious food from coveted Arlington chefs, and a silent auction to benefit The Reading Connection. 10th Annual National ShamrockFest at RFK Stadium

ShamrockFest is the biggest St. Patrick’s Day party in the Mid-Atlantic Region. On Saturday, March 13th, the 40,000-person event will feature over 40 national and regional bands and DJs on 10 stages, including The Roots, Train, LMFAO and Carbon Leaf. There will also be plenty of beer, college basketball on big screen TVs, Shamrock pub games, an Irish Village, carnival rides, and much, much more. Tickets are available at www.shamrockfest.com.

G-40: The Summit

March 3rd – March 31st, G-40: The Summit, the art exhibit of the year comes to Crystal City! The event will transform the Crystal City office building into a dynamic, contemporary art exhibition space. The G-40 is an artistic interpretation of the G-20 political summit. It will showcase four state-themed flours with ten featured artists and 40 additional artists per floor. This exhibit will also include live mural paintings, resident DJ’s and other exciting experiential elements!
